The Sheriff was searching for something where Goodacre Lane dead ends a week or so ago. I was not here at the time but he told someone in my employ that he was looking for broken glass.
This had something to do with the rape of the woman that I read about in the local paper. Apparently, all she could remember location wise was an "American flag".
Since there is a flag on the pump house near the entrance to Goodacre Lane I'm guessing that is why the Sheriff was searching the roadway.
On a walk yesterday I picked up a beer can half way up the Goodacre Hill. Now I wished I had saved it.
